  • Middleport Studios - Middleport Pottery is home to 10 independent creative businesses. A mix of contemporary studios and traditional workshops are open to the public and showcase a range of talent from fine art, photography, ceramics, jewellery and bespoke furniture.
  • Magnificent Burleigh - Two floors of Burleigh in their beautiful factory shop. Every piece of Burleigh is handcrafted at Middleport Pottery.
  • Middleport Pottery Tearoom - Friendly staff in our tearoom offer cream teas, cakes, and a range of hot and cold food and drinks (gluten free options available). The tearoom also caters for events, weddings and conferences.

Welcome to Middleport Pottery

Middleport Pottery, the home of world-famous Burleigh, is an award-winning visitor destination Stoke-on-Trent. Learn all about Middleport Pottery as you explore its new unique visitor experience. Book a factory tour to find out how Burleigh is produced using traditional craftsmanship. See pottery produced over the years and step into the iconic bottle kiln in our visitor centre. Afterwards, relax in Totally Delicious’ tearoom which overlooks the Trent and Mersey Canal.

Temporary Site Closure – 

 
Middleport Pottery will be closed to the public on Thursday 10th October. This closure will also include Middleport Studios, Tea Room and Clay College Gallery. Please note, the Burleigh Factory Shop will remain open as usual.

The British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) returns to Stoke-on-Trent from 7 September to 13 October 2019, bringing together more than 300 contemporary artists in a vibrant programme of exhibitions, installations and events taking place in six iconic cultural venues across the city.

Experience Middleport pottery in a whole new way! Join us for a day of clay-making workshops and sound performances at this unique, heritage site. A series of free workshops will involve people in brick-making, clay joint making and hazel structures on the wharf and on board Middleport’s own stunning narrowboat Dane.
